Building Designer (March 2024)

About the Role:

Working as part of the Development team, this position will report to the Design Manager and will be responsible for in-house concept, design development, planning and construction documentation, and construction detail coordination. The purpose of this role is to work in conjunction with business leaders to ensure the safe and successful delivery of projects from initial conception through to final handover.

Duties will include:

  • Conceptual documentation.
  • Design Development Documentation.
  • Planning Documentation and Coordination.
  • Construction Documentation.
  • BIM and Construction Detailing Coordination.
  • Ensure all development is completed with an intention to provide high quality addition to the built environment utilising best practices.

Skills & Experience

  • Possess qualifications in a Building Design field, or the equivalent office and industry experience.
  • Highly skilled in the use of Revit.
  • Skilled in the use of Lumion (or similar image rendering software).
  • Experience using vehicle tracking software.
  • Experience in AutoCAD and Sketchup would be favorable.
  • Excellent knowledge of NCC and Australian Standards.
  • Good understanding of BIM coordination, clash detection etc.
  • Critical thinker with an excellent attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the development and construction industry.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and prioritise tasks. 
  • White Card.
  • Current Drivers Licence.
